Mr. Geek and I are going to Disney World this fall. This is our third trip for both of us, but first time together. I cannot even start to describe how excited I am!
My last trip to Disney World was in 2011–a junior in college with my mom, stepdad, and siblings. I saw couples and families wearing themed and matching shirts. As much of a Disney Girl as I am, I doubted myself, “Would I really be one of those people one day to put everyone in matching shirts?”
Well it turns out, yes. Yes, I am.
But they have to be THE RIGHT shirts.
They have to…
- Reflect us as a couple–our personalities, favorite Disney movies, sense of humor, etc.
- Be comfortable! We’re going to have some long days/nights in these parks wearing these t-shirts.
- Be affordable! I don’t wait to blow all the souvenir budget on our gear BEFORE going to the park.
Here are the 7 best Couples Shirts for Disney World on Etsy (in no particular order)! I wish we could buy them all, but our trip is only 4-5 days long. I guess we’ll have to save them for next time…

#1 Best Day Ever / Most Expensive Day Ever
I’ll be honest, convincing Mr. Geek we should go on this trip at all was not all faith, trust, and pixie dust. Although he’s excited for our trip now, he’ll be the first one to admit that Disney can get expensive!
That’s why these t-shirts by 222CreationsbyBu are THE PERFECT shirts to wear on the first day of our trip.
$25+ each, depending on the style and size
Ladies: If you’re going to choose the women’s size–go a size up!
#2 I’m a Married Spud
Besides getting the cost of the trip low enough for Mr. Geek to agree, I knew I had Mr. Geek hooked when I mentioned Toy Story Land had just opened.
“THERE’S A TOY STORY LAND NOW?!” I heard him practically shriek into the phone.
Needless to say we’ll be wearing these t-shirts when we go to Toy Story Land…
$49 + shipping
#3 We Scare Because We Care
I think Mr. Geek is just a sucker for anything Disney/Pixar. Monsters, Inc. is another one of his favorites!
If I had to choose who would wear blue for Sully and green for Mike, heighwise it would definitely be Mr. Geek and myself, respectively. Personality however–it depends on the day!
$22.50 each; sold separately
#4 His Beauty / Her Beast
Mr. Geek may be a sucker for anything Disney/Pixar, but I’m a sucker for anything Beauty and the Beast! The bummer about Beauty and the Beast Shirts is that they tend to be yellow. I know! Of course I know why they are yellow! But I’m just not a “yellow” girl…even though Belle is my absolute favorite princess.
These shirts on the other hand are a gorgeous blue! Although they are a little pricier than the others on this list, the reviews rave about how well done they are made and how comfortable they are–and they’re not yellow!
$39 +, sold separately
#5 Celebrating # Years
Every time I’m on the phone with Disney World (which has been a lot because I’m still trying to get a reservation at Be Our Guest…), they always ask if we’re celebrating something special. I mean, every day is special with Mr. Geek *wink wink*–but I don’t know if we can still say we’re celebrating our 1st anniversary three months after!
Although we’re not going to wear them, these shirts are an adorable way to celebrate an anniversary! They are also really affordable and have different variations for the entire family.
$10.45+ depending on size
#6 He/She’s My Greatest Adventure
Is it possible for a t-shirt to make you cry? Well, that just happened when I stumbled upon these shirts inspired by Disney/Pixar’s Up.
Adorned with Carl’s iconic house floating away with balloons, you and your significant other can adventure around the parks wearing these adorable shirts.
…I may or may not have ordered ours while writing this post.
Variation: Our Adventure Begins Shirt by MoreStuffz
$23 + depending on size
#7 Mickey & Minnie Sunglasses
Sometimes you just have to stick to the classics.
Mickey Mouse is turning 90 in a few months and what would Disney World be without Mickey and Minnie Mouse?!
This design is simple and makes the statement that you two are a cool and classic duo.
$32 for the pair of shirts
I’m starting to realize half the fun of waiting for a Disney World trip is planning out your outfits!
